The Worshipful Company of Nurses is a City of London Company for the nursing profession and has joined the other noble professions and trades that are represented within the Livery movement.
All Livery Companies share an ancient common purpose: to enhance the professional knowledge of their members, to fund and support charitable and benevolent causes; and to support the Lord Mayor and the City of London Corporation. The Company of Nurses Charitable Trust Fund is the charitable arm of the Company, registered with the Charities Commission (Registered Charity number 1170982). The Company of Nurses aims to further the work of nurses who have gone before us, offer support to nurses when and where it is needed and to contribute to the professional development of nurses today, leaving a lasting legacy for all generations of nurses to come. The Company is for all nurses, Past, Present and Future.
